In this article, I’ll be putting the spotlight on the Bug card, “Sticky Goo.”

As of January 2022, this card has 40 base damage, provides 60 shields, and costs 1 energy. It also Stuns the attacker that breaks the user’s shields.

How Is Sticky Goo Used?

This card is mainly used for defense and utility. It’s used against Axies that rely on their combos because Stun forces them to miss.

It’s especially useful against Dusks, Plants, and Reptiles, because of their natural disadvantage against Bugs, but its primary use is to counter Axies that need to use combos in order to output great damage.

While it can be countered by zero-costs cards to remove the Stun, it essentially forces your enemy’s damage output to dwindle significantly.

What Kind of Axies/Teams Use Sticky Goo?

Most of the Axies that use this card are damage/utility Bugs. Sticky Goo is a standard card for a majority of Bugs and the infamous Terminator Dusk/Reptile.

This card makes the user extremely hard to kill and annoying to face against. It could also make a huge difference, especially if your enemy didn’t play the perfect order of cards.

Pros and Cons of the Sticky Goo Card

Pros

Provides great shields
Stuns the attacker that breaks the user’s shields

Cons

Stun can be removed by zero-cost cards
Deals relatively low damage
