If you’re an avid internet user and are up-to-date with the happenings around the world, you may have come across a game called “Axie Infinity.”
Axie Infinity burst onto the scene and skyrocketed in popularity within a span of a few months. It’s a “play-to-earn” game where players can trade NFTs, (non-fungible tokens) and earn cryptocurrency that they can exchange for real money.
In this article, I’ll be discussing the various reasons why you should start playing Axie Infinity!

As I’ve mentioned before, Axie Infinity is a game where you can earn money. The game allows you to earn money through breeding, battling, and trading with Axies.
Every time players fight in the arena, earn Small Love Potions (SLP). Players could trade their SLP for fiat currencies in crypto exchanges, which makes the game a good option for income on the side. You can check the value of SLP here.

2. The Community Is Amazing
The game’s ever-growing community is full of wonderful people. From gamers and artists to investors and die-hard fans, everyone is invited to come and join all the fun!
There are many Discord servers you can join that are dedicated to the game. There are also many forums where noobs and veterans alike gather and share information related to Axie Infinity.
Have a look around the internet and I’m sure you’ll find a community that feels just like home for you!
3. You Own Axies
Axies are the game’s own little denizens that inhabit the world of Lunacia. You can buy and sell Axies at the marketplace, trade them with your friends, or head out and battle monsters and other players to earn SLP.
The best part is that they’re 100% yours. Since Axies are NFTs, once you buy them, they’re yours forever and you can sell them for profit later.
They’re also cute and you can treat them like digital pets that can make you rich.
4. Axie Infinity Is A Really Fun Game
If you like strategy card games and outplaying your opponents, this game is great for you! Axie Infinity’s combat system is both familiar, yet unique, with certain mechanics like energy and cards that are reminiscent of earlier titles.
However, what’s unique about the game is that it’s a team-based card game where you decide what moves your Axies play. There are also tons of fun card effects and combinations that you can try out and experiment with.
At first, I was having a hard time picking up the combat system. Over time, I began to understand the various mechanics that make up the game, and now I can’t stop playing…
5. Things Are Just Getting Started
The developers behind Axie Infinity’s success believe that building a healthy community is key to ensuring the success of a game. From what started as a small game in March 2018, it has now blossomed into one of the fastest growing NFT games in the market and shows no signs of slowing down.
It’s safe to assume that things will get more interesting for the game in the near future. The game still receives regular updates and community feedback is highly appreciated by the devs.
For now, all we can do is wait for future content to be released and hope that Axie goes to Infinity and beyond!
