In this article, I’ll be putting the spotlight on the Bird card, “Triple Threat.”

As of December 2021, this card has 40 base damage, provides 10 shields, and does not cost energy. It also strikes twice if the user is affected by a debuff.

How Is Triple Threat Used?

This card is used mainly to dish out damage for free. It’s also a great filler card that’s useful for getting rid of Stuns or dealing additional damage because it does not cost energy to play.

It’s especially useful against Beasts, Mechs, and Bugs because of their natural disadvantage against Birds. It’s also great against teams that can inflict debuffs.

What Kind of Axies/Teams Use Triple Threat?

Most of the Axies that use this card are damage-dealer Bird Axies. Triple Threat could potentially deal a significant amount of damage if used correctly.

However, I think that as it stands now, Triple Threat isn’t a great card to have on Birds, especially since the only self-inflicted debuff they have is Eggbomb’s Aroma.

Pros and Cons of the Triple Threat Card

Pros

deals good damage
does not cost energy
strikes twice if the user is debuffed

Cons

does not provide shields
effect is only useful if the user is affected by a debuff

Triple Threat Card Synergies

Eggbomb
Eggbomb’s effect self-inflicts Aroma on the user; Triple Threat’s effect could then be activated, but the Bird will be in danger against enemy attacks

Risky Feather
Risky Feather deals massive damage, and applies Attack- on the user; this is a debuff that triggers Triple Threat’s ability

Air Force One, All-out Shot, Cool Breeze, Early Bird, Eggbomb, Feather Lunge, Headshot, Heart Break, Insectivore, Peace Treaty, Puffy Smack, Soothing Song
high-damage Bird cards that when paired with Triple Threat creates a damage dealer Bird Axie
