In this article, I’ll be putting the spotlight on the Bug card, “Third Glance.”

As of January 2022, this card has 80 base damage, provides 50 shields, and costs 1 energy. It also discards a random card in your opponent’s hand when played in a combo.

How Is Third Glance Used?

This card is mainly used for utility. It’s used to discard potentially important enemy cards, rendering them unable to make the plays they want.

It’s especially useful against Dusks, Plants, and Reptiles, because of their natural disadvantage against Bugs, but its primary use is to discard enemy cards.

What Kind of Axies/Teams Use Third Glance?

Most of the Axies that use this card are damage/utility Bugs. Third Glance is an amazing counter to teams that rely on card combos and draw-dependent Axies.

Triple Sunder Claw and Third Glance is a pretty common combination. It’s an insanely annoying composition to deal with, especially when they discard tons of cards at a time.

Pros

Deals decent damage and provides good shields
Discards a random card from the enemy’s hand when played in a combo
