In this article, I’ll be putting the spotlight on the Beast card, “Sugar Rush.”

As of November 2021, this card has 125 base damage, provides 20 shields, and costs 1 energy. It deals 10% more damage for each allied Bug Axie on your team.

How Is Sugar Rush Used?

This card is used mainly to burst down tankier Axies. Because it’s a Beast card, it deals additional damage against the tank classes, Plant, Reptile, and Dusk.

It’s also a great counter against Terminator Reptiles because of its high damage.

What Kind of Axies/Teams Use Sugar Rush?

Most of the Axies that use this card are damage-dealer Beast Axies. There are also a few builds that put it on Aqua Axies to supplement their lack of damage against tankier classes

Axies that have this card are usually placed in a team with Bugs so they can deal more damage and effectively use Sugar Rush’s effect.

Pros and Cons of the Sugar Rush Card

Pros

deals decent damage and gives good shields
deals 10% more damage for each Bug Axie on your team

Cons

needs to be paired with Bug Axies specifically to deal more damage

Sugar Rush Card Synergies

Revenge Arrow, Single Combat, Nitro Leap, Nut Throw/Crack, Hare Dagger, Rampant Howl,
high-damage Beast cards paired with Sugar Rush create a Beast that deals insane amounts of damage, especially when paired with Bug Axies

Death Mark
if the user can proc the effect of Death Mark with Sugar Rush, they could easily take enemy Axies out

Tail Slap
Tail Slap works great with Sugar Rush in order to create a utility Axie that also deals tons of damage against tanks

Fish Hook, Shipwreck
Attack+ paired with Sugar Rush could potentially deal tons of damage when used against Dusks, Plants, and Reptiles
