In this article, I’ll be putting the spotlight on the Bird card, “Soothing Song.”

As of December 2021, this card has 60 base damage, doesn’t provide shields, and costs 1 energy. It also ignores shields and inflicts Sleep on the target.

How Is Soothing Song Used?

This card is used mainly to dish out damage. It’s ability to ignore shields, as well as inflict the Sleep debuff, is extremely useful against targets with high shields and defenses.

It’s especially useful against Beasts, Mechs, and Bugs because of their natural disadvantage against Birds. It’s also effective against Axies that play around shields such as the Terminator Reptile’s Sticky Goo.

What Kind of Axies/Teams Use Soothing Song?

Most of the Axies that use this card are damage-dealer Bird Axies. Players often pair it with other high-damage Bird cards to create a purely damage-oriented Axie that can ignore defenses.

There are also other Axies that use this card, but a common trend is to pair it with another high-damage card like Sinister Strike and Single Combat.

Soothing Song is one of the best cards in the game, and Birds with this card are often paired with 2 offensive Plants to create a solid meta team. Unfortunately, this type of Bird is weak against backdoor Axies.
