In this article, I’ll be putting the spotlight on the Aqua card, “Hero’s Bane.”

As of October 2021, this card has 120 base damage, 30 shields, and costs 1 energy. It also ends the target’s Last Stand instantly (if they are in Last Stand).

How Is Hero’s Bane Used?

This card is used mainly by Aquas as a high-damage card and instantly taking out high Morale targets that are in Last Stand.

Because Morale directly influences how many bars the Axie’s Last Stand health bar has, using Hero’s Bane can instantly end it.

What Kind of Axies/Teams Use Hero’s Bane?

Most of the Axies that use this card are Aquas in AAP (Aqua–Aqua–Plant) team compositions. It’s a high-damage horn card that can be used in taking out both squishy and tanky Axies.

Pairing it with Attack+ and using it against tanky classes can help Aquas tilt the scales in their favor. A typical AAP team should have both Hero’s Bane and Star Shuriken to prevent or end Last Stands, especially because Aquas are energy-dependent and cannot afford to waste it.

effect is only really useful against targets that are in Last Stand and have more than 2 bars

using Spinal Tap with Hero’s Bane can easily take out unsuspecting targets

standard cards to have on a backline damage dealer Aqua; pairing it with Hero’s Bane enables your Axie to dish out more damage and win duels
