In this article, I’ll be putting the spotlight on the Bug card, “Dull Grip.”

As of January 2022, this card has 110 base damage, provides 30 shields, and costs 1 energy. It also deals 30% more damage against targets that have shields.

How Is Dull Grip Used?

This card is mainly used for offense. It’s used to deal high damage on an enemy target, and it can deal more if they put up shields.

It’s especially useful against Dusks, Plants, and Reptiles, because of their natural disadvantage against Bugs, but it’s primary use is to deal massive damage against targets that are unfortunate enough to put up shields at the wrong time.

What Kind of Axies/Teams Use Dull Grip?

Most of the Axies that use this card are damage Bugs. Dull Grip is an amazing counter to teams that have a lot of shields.

It’s one of the high-damage Bug cards in the game, and it’s a great addition to teams that need that extra damage against team compositions with shielding.

Pros and Cons of the Dull Grip Card

Pros

Deals great damage and provides decent shields
Deals 30% more damage against targets with a shield

Cons

Effect only works if the target has a shield
