In this article, I’ll be putting the spotlight on the Bug card, “Disguise.”

As of January 2022, this card has 35 base damage, does not provide shields, and does not cost energy. It also generates a point of energy if comboed with a Plant card.

How Is Disguise Used?

This card is mainly used for utility. It’s especially useful against Dusks, Plants, and Reptiles, because of their natural disadvantage against Bugs, but it’s primary use is to grant the user additional energy.

It’s also a zero-cost card, meaning it could be used as a filler card in combos, as well as removing certain debuffs like Stun and Fear.

What Kind of Axies/Teams Use Disguise?

Most of the Axies that use this card are frontline Plants instead of Bugs.

Disguise is an amazing addition to teams that struggle with managing energy usage. Because it essentially gives you free energy, saving up for a full combo will prove to be an easy task and set you up for success.

Pros and Cons of the Disguise Card

Pros

Does not cost energy
Generates a point of energy if used with a Plant card

Cons

Does not provide shields and deals relatively low damage
Only works if used in a combo with a Plant card

Disguise’s effect requires it to be used in tandem with a Plant card
