In this article, I’ll be putting the spotlight on the Bird card, “Dark Swoop.”

As of December 2021, this card has 25 base damage, provides 0 shields, and costs 1 energy. It also targets the fastest enemy.

How Is Dark Swoop Used?

This card is used mainly to target the enemy backline and take out unsuspecting Axies. It’s usually paired with other high-damage Bird cards to burst down targets.

It’s especially useful against Beasts, Mechs, and Bugs because of their natural disadvantage against Birds. It’s also great against other Birds, especially Soothing Song Birds.

What Kind of Axies/Teams Use Dark Swoop?

Most of the Axies that use this card are damage-dealer backdoor Bird Axies. Players often pair it with Eggbomb and Blackmail to redirect attacks to the designated target, as well as All-out Shot for more damage.

Backdoor Birds are arguably one of the best meta Birds on the arena right now, and I’m finding success at around the 2200-2400 MMR range.

deals low damage and doesn’t provide shields
needs to be paired with other cards to be effective
