In this article, I’ll be putting the spotlight on the Plant card, “Carrot Hammer.”

As of December 2021, this card has 70 base damage, provides 40 shields, and costs 1 energy. It also generates a point of energy if the user’s shield breaks.

How Is Carrot Hammer Used?

This card is mainly used both offensively and defensively. It’s used to deal damage, while also providing decent shields.

It’s especially useful against Aquas, Birds, and Dawns because of their natural disadvantage against Plants. Its effect could also function as some sort of fallback, because it essentially refunds energy as long as the user’s shields get broken.

What Kind of Axies/Teams Use Carrot Hammer

Most of the Axies that use this card are tanky damage Plants. Carrot Hammer is an amazing counter to teams that have Aquas, Birds, or Dawns, as well as other Axies that have high damage.

Carrot Hammer could also function as a utility card because of its energy gain.

Pros and Cons of the Carrot Hammer Card

Pros

deals decent damage and provides good shields
generates a point of energy if the user’s shields are broken

Cons

effect is only effective if the user’s shields break
can be countered by passing
