Card Spotlight: Acrobatic

In this article, I’ll be putting the spotlight on the Beast card, “Acrobatic.”

As of November 2021, this card has 100 base damage, 50 shields, and costs 1 energy. It also grants the user Speed+ for two rounds when attacking.

How Is Acrobatic Used?

This card is used mainly to outspeed faster Axies and catch opponents off-guard when the turn order suddenly shifts in your favor.

It’s especially useful against Aquas and Birds, because not only are they faster than Beasts, they are also the natural counters that deal tons of damage against the Beast class.

What Kind of Axies/Teams Use Acrobatic?

Most of the Axies that use this card are damage-dealer Beast Axies. I’ve also seen a few builds that put it on Aqua Axies to supplement their lacking damage against the tankier classes, while still retaining the speed buff.

I’ve also seen players use Acrobatic to counter faster Dusks and Mystic Rush from Dusk Terminators.

Pros and Cons of the Acrobatic Card

  • deals decent damage and gives good shields
  • grants the user a stack of Speed+

  • deals relatively low damage when compared to other Beast cards

Acrobatic Card Synergies

  • Revenge Arrow, Single Combat, Nitro Leap, Nut Throw/Crack, Hare Dagger
  • high-damage Beast cards paired with Acrobatic create a Beast Axie that deals insane amounts of damage
  • Death Mark
  • if the user can proc the effect of Death Mark with Acrobatic, they could burst enemy Axies down with the critical strike
  • Tail Slap
  • Tail Slap works great with Acrobatic in order to create a utility Axie that also deals tons of damage against tanks
  • Fish Hook
  • Attack+ paired with Acrobatic could potentially deal tons of damage when used against Dusks, Plants, and Reptiles
