Finally Wii owners will have real media software that works *cough* wont mention the ones that dont. X-OOM Software will be launching its media center software for the wii some time in Oct ‘07. This will enable users to stream content from their home PC’s right to the Wii/TV. It will work via LAN or WLAN and it supports MP3, WMA, OGG, DivX, XviD, MPEG 2, MPEG 4, WMV, JPG, BMP formats. Looks like the software will come at a price though of 39.99, and while there are free solutions just remember you get what you pay for. You will be able to purchase right from X-OOM ’s website. LG will keep you informed on this product upon its release.

Well looks like some dunce for Gamestop leaked out that the Wii Zapper will be packaged with a Zelda: TP bow training game. While this is a disappointment for this loaded gamer, I will still be getting one. Why? Well because of the flash gun games coming out should promise some major ass kicking. This game list from EBgames was featured on Wiinintendo showing us what we can zap shit with.
Perfectly Compatible with:
# 1. Nintendo Duck hunt
# 2. Nintendo Wii Play
# 3. Destination Chicken Shoot
# 4. Capcom Resident Evil 4
# 5. Nintendo Metroid Prime 3
# 6. UbiSoft Brothers in Arms
# 7. Sega Ghost Squad
# 8. Capcom Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicals
I would not use it to play any of my FPS games like Metroid but meh thats just me.
While there is still a few third party wiimote guns in the make know review to know how good of quality they are. Here is one that I would like to review though True light gun style. This would really take me if it had a wireless nunchuck.

Being new to xbox live some people may not realize the quality of some demos that come out for free download on it. Skate happens to be one of them. While the time it allows you to play is not very long, its still a great intro into the new style of video skateboarding. You start out learning the basics of course, olie, kickflip, popshove it. Then moves you into turns and grabs, and gently (on my ass) makes you combine them all for some very ill tricks. First reviews I read on this game say it was hard to get the hang of. Not sure if the unpolished version was that bad, but this game is any thing but hard to get the concept/control of. Even if you were a poser when you were a kid you understood what you trying to do, you move just like you would with your feet/body this just brings it to your thumbs. It is how ever harder to break your self of old “Hawk” style of playing. So what makes this demo so great? They included a nice video capture feature to do some nice basic editing of your best runs. Not only that but you get to upload them to skate.ea.com for the world to see and vote on like so WickeD Sick Bail

PopCap Games took a survey about white collar casual gamers shows us that gamers are no longer a small breed but an infestation! In all seriousness casual gaming is for any one these days with so many platforms to choose from. Its really no surprise to see a guy suited up sitting in an airport playing games on his laptop or blackberry any more. What about in the work place?
Among the 7,102 consumers who answered the survey, 40% were identified as “white collar” workers. With conservative estimates pegging the casual games market at over 200 million people, this representative sample suggests that as many as 80 million white collar workers play casual games. Of those white collar workers surveyed, nearly a quarter (24%) said they play “at work” – with fully 35% of CEOs, CFOs and other senior executives saying they play at work.
While most of us wish our bosses could understand our addictions looks like there is hope for some.
